Richard J. “Dick” Gellin, 78, Green Bay, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014, surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 14, 1936, in Green Bay, WI, to Gustave & Gladys Gellin.

Dick worked for Nicolet Paper Mill. He loved working for the NEW Community Clinic.

He married Mary Jo Butterfield on November 30, 1957, in Green Bay.

Richard enjoyed sitting on his front porch, drinking his Pepsi, watching his grandchildren play and saying “Hi” to everyone who passed by.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Jo; seven children, Patty (Tom) Zeitler, Cindy (Jim) Laes, Sue (Curt) Hansen, Karen (Charlie) Alberts, Lisa (Roy Jr.) Clark, Cheri (Terry) Clark and #1 son, Tom (Barb) Gellin; sixteen grandchildren, Adam Zeitler, Casey, Dan and Amy Hansen, Mathew (Libby) and Katilyn Alberts, Zachary and Marissa Clark, Justin and Austin Clark, and Shaelyne, Raeleigh, Kierenah, Quenton, Blayze and Cendreana Gellin; great granddaughter, Nala Alberts; brother, Jim Gellin.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. A celebration of memories will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank the Green Bay Fire Department First Responders and St. Vincent Hospital for an additional eight years of life for Dick.
