Wesley John Vertz

Wesley John Vertz, born on June 30, 1961, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at Froedtart Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He leaves behind a legacy rich with music, creativity, and cherished relationships.

Wesley was passionate about writing and performing music with his guitar. He found immense joy in playing video games with his brothers, a pastime that strengthened the bonds of their brotherhood and created many treasured memories. His ability to express himself through music was not merely a hobby; it reflected the core of who he was. One of his proudest accomplishments was his love for music, especially the joy he felt sharing that passion with his nephew, Jonathon.

He is survived by his siblings: Larry Vertz, Margy (James) Socha, Bonnie (Kent) Brunette, Donald (Mary Zak) Vertz, June (Gene) Lefeber, Robert (Renee Leisgang) Vertz, and Stuart (Wendy Borley) Vertz, along with his sister-in-law, Sandra (Deprey) Vertz. Wesley also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. And his best friend and canine companion, Rocky, whom he loved dearly.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Rosella (Roffers) Vertz, and his brothers, Randall Vertz and Richard Vertz Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Woods Golf Club (530 Erie Rd, Green Bay, WI 54311). With Wesley being laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Suamico.
