Wade R. Tress 76 of Coleman passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 11th, 2025, at Aurora BayCare Hospital. Wade was born in Wausau on February 27th, 1949 to the late Patricia Tress and Willian Tress.
He is survived by his brothers Jed Tress (Mary Lou), Scott Tress (Lori), and his sister Cheri Kubalak. Wade's daughters Lisa Gerrits, Lorie Denny (Rob) and Angela Shallow, and his son Brian Tress. Grandchildren, Sandra, Wade, Blake, Camyrn, Cali, Amy, Tiffany and Weston. Great Grandchildren, Zeke.
Wade was preceded in death by his wife, Faye (Damp) Tress. Faye passed away on May 20th, 2020. They settled in Coleman in 1970 where they started a family, and Wade established his career as a maintenance/mechanic for companies, Tool and Die, Coleman Products, N.E.W. Plastics and Burkel.
Wade was a man of few words, as most people who knew him would probably agree, Although if he had knowledge to share about an engine, or how to build something, or how to build something, or why it may not work, he had plenty to say. He was a skilled welder, mechanic, fabricator, builders and jack of all trade, Many neighbors relied on his skills to get their farm equipment running again, or fabricate something that made a task easier. These neighbors he held dear to him, like the Meadke family, the Seewald family, and the Zietler family to name a few. This is a legacy that has been passed on to his son Brian.
We would like to thank the Dr.'s and Care Team at Aurora Hospital, Davita Dialysis, and Unity Hospice for all the care and compassion they provided to our Father, Uncle, Brother, Grandpa, and friend until the end.
