Violet Marie Zuber, age 88, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 1st 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Violet was born on August 1, 1938, to Sarah Ptacek. She was the oldest of 12 children in the Ptacek family. Violet grew up on a farm in Bruce, Wisconsin, and attended school in Bruce.
In 1955, Violet married Theodore J. Zuber. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and cherished memories. They enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and gardening, while appreciating the simple pleasures of life.
Violet was a loving mother to her son, Michael, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her life, and the memories they created together will be treasured for generations.
Violet especially enjoyed fishing, flowers, and spending time with the people she loved. Those closest to her will remember the many little things that made her special, including countless family memories created over a lifetime.
Violet is survived by her son, Michael, and his wife, Michelle; their children, Heather, Zachary, Blake, and Samantha; Zachary’s wife, Arianna; and her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Savannah, Oakley, and Baker. She is also survived by her loving sister, Linda Leach; her special longtime friend and former sister-in-law, Judy Ptacek; and other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore J. Zuber, as well as other family members who went before her.
Violet’s family is grateful for the care, kindness, prayers, and support shown to her during the final chapter of her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), on Friday, October 9th, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that Violet is in God’s loving care and that this goodbye is not forever.
