Vickey S. Christnot

January 9, 1962 — January 2, 2023

Vickey Christnot, age 60, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 2, 2023 with her family at her side. She was born January 9, 1962 in Shawano, WI, daughter of the late Norman Bubolz and Donna (Jacobson) Bubolz and was a graduate of Gillett High School, Class of 1980.

Vickey worked full time at Wal-Mart for 37 years. She managed several different departments at different times over her 37 year career. She was a hardworking, dependable and dedicated employee that will be greatly missed.

Vickey was a gifted athlete, excelling at everything she played. She loved golf, volleyball, softball and horseshoes. More than once did she out drive the men's longest drive at a golf outing, or be the "Ringer Champ" of the horseshoe league she was in. She was the first female athlete to compete at the State track meet from Gillett H.S. God gifted her with a very special talent.

She loved the outdoors. Fishing was her passion. From the shore, a boat or through the ice, she loved fishing. Many of times people would see her with pole in hand and her gentle voice calling out, "Heeeere, fishy fishy fishy," and it worked more often than not. She was also an avid hunter, camper and tubed down any river. She always looked forward to spending time up north with her family at their cabin.

Vickey was very family oriented and was cherished by both families. She married Richard Christnot, May 1, 1997 in Green Bay. Although she had no children of her own, when she met her second husband, Richard, he was a single parent with a 7 year old son. She took Keith under her wing and helped raised him as her own. She now has a successful son and 2 grandchildren that call her "Grand Ma." She was first and foremost a loving and devoted wife who will be greatly missed by her husband, Richard.

Vickey is survived by her husband, Richard; step-son, Keith J. Christnot; step-grandchildren, Nathan and Jessica Christnot; her mother, Donna Bubolz and siblings: Robin (Gene) Miller, Karen (Richard) Herzog, Tami (Randy) Umentum and Michael (Karla) Bubolz. She is further survived by her step-mother, Susan Oesterreich, 10 aunts and uncles, 15 nieces and nephews, 18 grand nieces and nephews and a great-great nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Bubolz, 4 grandparents, 3 aunts and an uncle.

At Vickey's request, she wanted a direct cremation. A gathering for family and close friends will be held at a later date.

Richard and Vickey would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to her families for their prayers, love and support, Donna Bubolz and her entire family, the Christnot family, her Wal-Mart friends and coworkers, with special thanks to Tom and Shane, her Pauly G's family, with special thanks to Paul and his wife, Connie.

She was always "Daddy's Little Girl."
