Travis Hein, age 50, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away while on a family vacation in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, due to a sudden unexpected heart condition. He was born in Beaver Dam, WI on August 6, 1975 and was a 1994 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. He married Crystal Qualley on Sept. 12, 2009 and resided in Appleton with his beloved wife Crystal and much loved son, Preston until the time of his death.
Travis graduated from Madison Technical College with his degrees in accounting and business management but spent most of his working career in property management and additionally, the last 10 years as a realtor with Century 21 Ace Realty.
Travis cared for all he met and was a man with high integrity, a great sense of humor, a deep love for his country, and a deep faith in God. He was always ready to help others and left a lasting impression on his neighbors, his colleagues, his real estate clients, and those he engaged with while in property management. He & Preston took pride in their garden and yard and they meticulously planted and maintained them together as daddy and son with beautiful flowers, which he learned from his former boss Bill in Madison. He loved fishing with his father, brother and son and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal, beloved son Preston, mother, Julianne Hein-Swaab, father Greg & stepmother Judy Hein, brother Greg & sister-in-law Sheila Hein, niece Abigail (fiancé Andrew) Hein, grandmother Colleen Hein, mother-in-law Jona (fiancé Rickie) Hays, sister-in-law Jasmine (Hugh) Johnson, nieces Desiraye and Kayleigh, and many more relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his stepfather Laurence Swaab. Travis will be greatly missed by those who loved him. We rest in the knowledge that he is with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Matthew 25:21 - "Well done, good and faithful servant."
As Travis always ended his conversations with us, "Love you tons."
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
Visitation and funeral services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
