Thomas J. Smeester

Thomas J. Smeester, 83, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 15, 2026.

He was born on January 30, 1943 to Alex and Eleanor (Turensky) Smeester in Green Bay. He graduated from Green Bay East High School. Thomas proudly served our country in the Navy and was Honorably discharged. On August 21, 1965, he married Patricia Perlongo in Gaastra, Michigan. The two resided in Green Bay and raised four children.

Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the Packers. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchild and his furry friends.

Thomas is survived by his four children: Tim (Barbara) Smeester, Todd Smeester, Troy (Kristi) Smeester and Tamara (Eric) LeDuc; grandchildren: Miranda Malone, Liam Smeester, Roiana Smeester and Parker LeDuc; and one great-grandchild: Jaylen. He is further survived by his brother, James (Chris) Smeester and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia, and his brother, Danny.

A gathering for friends and family to come and celebrate Thomas' life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 12 PM NOON until 3 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Green Bay Humane Society in Thomas' name.
