Stephen Charles Jones passed away peacefully on April 23rd in Grafton, Wisconsin. Steve was born November 29, 1937 in Stevens Point, WI to Richard Lincoln and Evelyn Marie (Rice) Jones. He graduated from PJ Jacobs High School (class of 1956) in Stevens Point, WI.

The oldest of three children, he was the loving older brother of his twin sisters Susan Elizabeth (Louis J. Molepske) of Stevens Point and Madeline Ann (William R. Drew) of Madison, WI, both of whom survive him. Steve talked fondly of growing up in this idyllic small town.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in History from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1960 and enrolled in the University of Wisconsin Law School. He put his legal studies on hold to serve in the United States Army, enlisting in February 1961 and receiving an honorable discharge in August 1962 with the rank of Private First Class. After serving his country, Steve completed his Juris Doctor degree in 1966.

On August 14, 1965, Steve married the love of his life, Margaret "Peg" Ann Quinn also of Stevens Point. The couple made their home in Green Bay, WI where Steve spent his career as a trust officer at People's Marine Bank and Bank One. Steve was a member of Spirit, Prison Self Help, Learning in Retirement (LIR) Wednesday Noon Optimist, the United Way of Green Bay (Board of Directors and Allocation Committee), Brown County U.W. Alumni Board, Brown County Mediation Center, Scholarships Inc. Board of Directors, Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, St. Matthews Church Council, Brown County Retired Men's Club, Wisconsin State Bar Association, and the Allouez Board of Review.

Steve is survived by four children: Ann Margaret (Willett R. Willis), William Richard (Gretchen), Daniel Stephen (Kelly), and Michael Quinn (Abby). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren Connor, Quinnlan, Liam, Jack, Matilda, Ranney, Evelyn, Erin, Allison, Jacob and Brandon.

The family will greet mourners Friday, May 6, 2022 at Resurrection Church 333 Hilltop Dr. in Green Bay, WI between 10:00-11:00 am with a funeral mass immediately following at the church. For those who wish to make a donation in Steve's name, we suggest Learning in Retirement and the Notre Dame De La Baie Academy Tuition Scholarship Fund.
