Shirley A. Krauter

Shirley A. Krauter (Laundrie, Liebert), aged 70, passed away peacefully in her sleep from natural causes on the afternoon of Monday, July 24th, 2023.

She was born to the late Adeline J. and Edmund C. Liebert in Green Bay on April 2nd, 1953. One of six children, Shirley attended and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1971. She was married to Larry Laundrie on December 2nd, 1972, and they had two children, William (Bill) and Tracy. Shirley was a full-time mom (making sure her kids made it to all their lessons and activities) as well as a full-time employee of the Green Bay Police Department, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and then the Green Bay Area School District. Shirley took classes on and worked with AutoCAD, worked in car sales, and then took nursing classes and worked as a personal caregiver. She loved animals, music, children, and the elderly and was as generous as they come. She will be remembered by many as a sweet lady. Her talents and hobbies included photography, calligraphy, arts & crafts, and making fantastic holiday meals and treats for the family.

She met the love of her life, William (Bill) Krauter in 2008, and they were married on November 11th, 2011. They shared too few very happy years together along with their beloved pets.

Shirley is survived by her husband Bill Krauter; children Bill Laundrie (Ryan Haws) and Tracy Laundrie (John Hermans); siblings Kenneth (Lynn) Liebert, Sharon Krueger, and Susie Liebert; nieces and nephews Heidi (Rick) Iwanski, Jeremy Volk, Darrin (Trudy) Krueger, Cameron (Hailey) Liebert, Sam (Liz) Liebert, and great-nieces and nephews; Arick Iwanski, Angela (Blake) Voss, Darrick and Dalton Krueger, and Abigail, Ezra, and Liliana Liebert.

She was preceded in death by her parents Adeline and Edmund Liebert; sisters Beverly (Duane) Volk, Barbara Hamlett, and Jeanne Rose Liebert, Brother-in-law Doug (Sharon) Krueger, and nephew Daniel (Dawn) Krueger.

A celebration of life will be held for family at a later date.
