Sharon "Shair" L. Zabel, 72, of Green Bay, passed away after struggling with Alzheimer's on December 4, 2025 at home with her husband by her side. She was born on June 6, 1953 in Madison, WI.
Sharon worked as a beautician for the majority of her life. She worked at many different salons over the years. She enjoyed playing pool and beat Wayne many times. Sharon also enjoyed playing music and could play the flute, clarinet, and guitar. She spent some time playing in the Plymouth Community Band. Sharon was a HUGE Herman's Hermits fan and was President of Peter Noon's fan club for many years.
On January 22, 2011, she married Wayne Zabel. Sharon and Wayne lived in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin and moved to Green Bay in 2023.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; brother, James (Bobbie Jo) Sarenich; sister, JoAnn (Mark) Jankowski; brother, Pat (Karyn Cross) Sarenich; brothers in law, Howard (Carol) Zabel and Richard Zabel; 9 nieces and nephews; her dog, Liberty and cat, Sammy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and James Sarenich; sister, Kathy Bransted; step son, Richard Zabel; brother in law, Harold Zabel and many, many cats and dogs.
A Celebration of Sharon's life will be hosted by the family at a later date.
