Sharon Rohde

Sharon Rohde, age 75, of Peshtigo, WI, formerly of Green Bay, WI, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Rennes Health & Rehab, with her daughter, Stephanie, at her side. She was born February 10, 1950 in Shawano, WI, daughter of the late Floyd and Eunice (Harris) Thoreson and was a graduate of Shawano High School, Class of 1968.

After graduation, Sharon attended NWTC and studied respiratory therapy. She worked as a therapist at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years before changing roles and working as a receptionist for clinics in the Green Bay area. Sharon met the love of her life, Wayne Rohde, at a dance in the summer of 1967. They were united in marriage on March 29, 1969, and shared 47 years of marriage before Wayne passed away on August 21, 2017.

Sharon was a talented quilter and knitter. She loved to gift her beautiful creations to family and friends. She was also an avid reader and often read multiple books at one time. Her family was her pride and joy. Time spent with them was when she was happiest.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Keis and Stephanie (Eric) Ashley; 4 grandchildren: Destin, Julia, Rayne and Spencer and her sister, Gloria Hitzler. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wayne and her son, Benjamin Floyd Rohde.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1 to 3 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3 PM.
