Sharon Lee Notz

Sharon Lee Notz, 79, of Gillett, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 16, 1946 to Alton and Arlene (Scholtz) McDermid in Oconto Falls, WI.

Sharon worked as a LPN for Community Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. In 1969, she married Roy Notz. Sharon and Roy lived in the Gillett/Morgan area for the duration of their marriage until his passing in 1991.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Sharon loved gardening and taking trips out to Arizona to see family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she never missed a sporting event.

Sharon is survived by her loving daughter, Tara (Russ) Long: grandchildren, Clint and Courtney Long; Cole Long and his fiancée, Megan; Camryn Long (Bennett); and Dayomi: and one great granddaughter, Conley. She is further survived by her sisters, Karen Hayes, Jennifer (Vern) Rehlinger, and Jill (Danny) Eisenhower, and her brother, Hugh (Shelly) McDermid and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; two brothers, Bruce, and Earl McDermid, sister Jackie McDermid, as well as several nephews including a special nephew, Christopher Rehlinger, and brother-in-law, Steve Hayes.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sharon's God daughter, Valerie for her help caring for Mom throughout the years and her best friend, Patti Jo. They would also like to thank the staff of Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.
