Sandra Marie Johnson

Sandra Marie Johnson, 71, of Neenah, passed away on March 22, 2026 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence. She was born on December 9, 1954 to Carl and Bernice (Krahn) Bavuso in Milwaukee, WI.

Sandra married Harvey Johnson and they were blessed with four children, 8 grandchildren, and their dog, Chewy. Sandra and Harvey spent many years together before his passing on June 14, 2020.

Sandra spent many years working at Cegalls and after they closed their doors, she found her place at the East Side Walmart in Green Bay. After 14 years of employment, Sandra retired. Even after retirement, Sandra would be recognized for her great service by fellow shoppers.

Sandra's greatest love in life was her family. She had an especially close relationship with her granddaughter, Alicia. She always made sure she had a strong presence in her loved one's lives, and was very proud to have attended the birth of her first two great-grandchildren, Mateo and Annalena. Sandra will be remembered by the love and care she showed; whether it was helping her grandchildren with their homework or fixing up a peanut butter jelly sandwich (no crust of course) cut into fours. She will be greatly missed.

Sandra is survived by her children: Jeremy Johnson, Michele Calderon, Angela Diaz, and Leonard Johnson; her grandchildren: Joshua Johnson, Miguel Calderon, Alicia (Rigoberto) Hernandez, Lilianna Soriano, Jasmine Soriano, Alfonso Diaz, Machaela Contreras, and Isaiah Paz; her 8 great-grandchildren; her sister, Patricia Diamantopoulos and her half-brother, Gary Bavuso; Sandra is further survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Johnson; her parents, Carl and Bernice Bavuso; and her siblings: Carl Bavuso and Edward Bavuso.

Family and friends may call for visitation on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301). A Funeral Ceremony for Sandy will follow immediately at 6:00 PM.
