Russ B. Malone

Russ Barton Malone, of Green Bay, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 6, 2025. He was 65.

Russ was born in Albany, GA on June 12, 1959, the son of Russ and Margaret (Elwert) Malone. He grew up in Menominee, MI, graduating from Menominee High School in 1977. His studies and experience in food service management brought him to Green Bay to manage nutrition for residents of a healthcare facility.

Caring for others inspired Russ to dedicate the final 33 years of his life to private, at-home healthcare, with the help of his best friend and business partner, Ken.

Russ is survived by his adopted son Joe and sisters Cristine, Colleen, Cheryl, Charlene, Cynthia, Molly, Kelly and Carol. Brothers Nick, Josh, Ray and David. He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Malone Olson, father Russ H. Malone, stepfather Raymond A. Olson and nephew Gregory Syzmik.

Russ will always be remembered by coworkers, friends and family for his humor and wit. The story of him treating his siblings to “roadkill pizza” will forever be a favorite.

While his pranks are legendary, his kindness and generosity were mostly discreet. Few knew of his many charitable donations and dedication to helping others. Those close to him knew Uncle Russ always made sure no one went without a present for Christmas.

A private celebration of Russ will be held by the family.
