Roy De Namur, 79, of Luxemburg, passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2026. He was born on October 7, 1946 to Gerald and Ruby (Berger) De Namur in Algoma, WI.
Roy attended Algoma Schools and later graduated from NWTC with a Journeyman's plumber license. Although he started as a plumber, Roy later went to work at Peterson Builders as a pipe-fitter, where he worked for many years.
Roy enjoyed playing cards with his friends, golfing, being a handy man, and feeding the birds outside his home. Roy was known as a kindhearted jokester to those who knew him. He was always willing to help others in need.
Roy met Cheryl in November of 1969 through Roy's sister Carolyn, "The Match Maker". Roy married Cheryl on June 26, 1971 and shared almost 55 years of marriage together. They were blessed with their two children, Nikki and Chris.
Roy is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; his daughter, Nikki Rogers; his son, Chris (BobbiJo Vandervest) De Namur; his granddaughter, Kayden Rogers; he is further survived by his sister-in-laws, his brother-in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Skyler Rogers; his brother, Gary De Namur; his sister, Carolyn Ott; his mother-in-law; and his father-in-laws.
Family and friends may gather for Visitation on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54302). A Funeral Ceremony will be held immediately following visitation at 11:00 AM. Roy will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Allouez, WI.
