Richard "Dick" McKeefry, 73, of Green Bay, passed away on May 28, 2026, from kidney failure due to diabetes, at Bellin Health Hospital. He was born on October 13, 1952 to Leonard and Alice (Korpowski) McKeefry at the old St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay. Dick was a graduate of Preble High School in 1971. Dick worked in maintenance for Green Bay Correctional Institute for over 30 years. After retiring, he did maintenance at the Residence Inn, until he was in a motorcycle accident that left him unable to work. Dick had his favorite lunch spots that he visited weekly. Before retiring, Dick enjoyed being a part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, boating and going to the Green Bay Yacht Club, and traveling on his Harleys. Dick had a great sense of adventure, and was always ready with a travel bag packed in his truck. Some of his favorite places he visited were: Arizona, Arkansas, Tennessee, Honduras, and Puerto Rico.
Dick is survived by his loving daughter, Brooke L. Phillips, 3 grandchildren: Jayd, Zander, and Sage; 3 siblings: Karen McKeefry, Mark McKeefry, and Lori (Dale) Dombroski; two godchildren: Adam Wery and Sarah Ledvina; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents two sisters: Jo and Marilyn "Sue"; and one nephew, Bradley McKeefry.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave; with funeral services following at 7:00 pm. Dick's request was to have an Irish Wake to celebrate his life. Graveside Service will take place in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery, on the hill, overlooking Lambeau field..
