Paul M. Wittlinger

September 9, 1962 — August 7, 2025

Gresham

Paul Michael Wittlinger, 62, from Gresham, WI passed away at home on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Paul was born in Green Bay, September 9, 1962, to Barbara and Bob Wittlinger. He was number two of seven children. He attended St. Agnes grade school and West High School. Paul and Marilyn Zeitler were married in Crandon, WI August 8, 2016, in the middle of another great motorcycling day!

Paul started working young at a local grocery store. He worked at Tectron Tube, James River (East side mill) and retired from the wastewater treatment department for the town of Weyauwega, WI. He most enjoyed his work as a gentleman farmer in Gresham.

Paul enjoyed motorcycling and old cars. He had fun shooting trap, going hunting, and time at the family cottage on the Pike River. He was happy to win a good game of cribbage or sheepshead.

Paul was an active member of ABATE of Wisconsin and a proud and informed independent voter! He was generous with his time and would often volunteer, build, repair or move almost anything when needed.

Paul is survived by his beloved, wife and friend, Marilyn Zeitler. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Dr. Kate Frank, Zac Zeitler (Holly), Monica Zeitler, and Chance Zeitler (Sam). His step-grandchildren: Erika, Christian, Hunter, Hutson, Zoey, Everett, Marissa, and Kelvin. Paul’s mom, Barbara Wittlinger, and his siblings: Ann Wittlinger (Trina), Mary Lasee-Spude (Tim), Jane Magee (Doug), Joan Nyamhondoro, Beth Kong (Hue), and David Wittlinger (Cristina). Nieces and nephews: Ryan (Sarah), Mandi (Dylan), Nyasha, Clare, Evan, Oskar, Hunter, Odin, Lucas, Colton, and Lilliana. Great nieces and nephews: Cassandra, Elizabeth, Isak, Levi, and Kora.

Paul joins some important souls. His father, Bob Wittlinger; grandparents Gertie and Clarence Wittlinger, George Sr. and Marie Kamps; his step-granddaughter September Deneys and his niece Ali Peeters.

Paul was a notoriously frugal guy, so if you want to honor him you don’t have to spend much. Consider donating to ABATE of Wisconsin (ABATE of Wisconsin | Motorcyclists Rights & Safety Organization | Wisconsin, USA), be a good and helpful neighbor and friend, take good care of your land and animals, and put the little fish back.

Family and friends will have the opportunity to gather on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301).
