Patricia L. "Pat" Grenke

Patricia L. "Pat" Grenke, age 86, of Oconto Falls, WI, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, as the result of an accident. She was born October 5, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Salter) Moen. As the only children of deaf parents, Pat and her twin sister, Sandy, had an exceptionally close bond. Throughout their lives they spoke on the phone every day.

Pat attended Holy Redeemer and was a graduate of Custer High School, Class of 1957. After graduation, Pat worked as an insurance clerk for Community Memorial Hospital. As a breast cancer survivor, she was passionate about volunteering at the hospital for their "Reach out Recovery" program and as a front desk greeter. Currently, she was a leader of a local cancer survival group. She married Arthur "Artie" Grenke, October 22, 1960 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Milwaukee, WI. They shared 57 loving years as husband and wife before Artie passed away, December 10, 2017.

Pat loved the Lord and was a faithful servant and a very active member of St. Anthony Parish, Oconto Falls. She volunteered and served on many Parish boards and committees, including Eucharistic ministry, Parish council and was an usher. Attending religious retreats was also one of her favorite ways to nurture her faith.

Pat's family was her greatest pride and joy. She never missed an opportunity to attend her grandkids' sporting events and other activities. She was very active, full of energy and loved shopping for a good bargain and vacationing with her family. She was very strong willed and independent, busy and always on the go. Pat was always happy to give a ride home or lend a listening ear to family and friends alike. You never saw Pat without a smile on her face and you never left her without a hug.

Patricia is survived by her 2 daughters, Kim (Bob) Below and Julie (Rez) Ashikino; 4 grandchildren: Bobbie Stroessner, Joseph (Kari) Below, Machaela and Olivia Ashikino; 5 great-grandchildren: Ava, Arthur "Ari" and Wesley Stroessner and Boone and Della Below and her twin sister and very best friend, Sandy Molter. She is further survived by Sandy's children: Connie Molter, Jeff (MaryAnne) Molter and Joy Molter, a brother-in-law, Herb Grenke and a sister-in-law, Georgia Grenke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Artie, a son-in-law, Bob Below, a grandson-in-law, Josh Stroessner, a brother-in-law, Arlin Grenke and sister-in-law, Sandy Grenke.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church (253 N. Franklin St., Oconto Falls, WI), Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9 to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM with Fr. Tom Pomeroy, celebrant.
