Abrams

Pamela Faith Doan, 66, of Abrams, WI passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on April 15th, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.

Pam was born February 9th, 1959, to Charles and Nancy (Graveen) Loy in Marathon, Wisconsin.

During Pam’s childhood she enjoyed ice skating with her mom and brothers, visiting with her grandparents and helping in the ginseng gardens. In her early adulthood she liked dancing, spending time with friends and raising her three children.

Pam was currently working at Kwik Trip in Oconto; this last year she went on a semi-retired basis. She was well liked by co-workers, and they shared very kind stories and gratitude for their time working with Pam. Previously she worked for James River (Graphic Packaging) in Wausau, Wisconsin for many years.

On February 12, 2000, she married Anthony Doan and resided in Abrams, Wisconsin. Pam’s favorite pastimes were searching for antiques, going to garage sales and flea markets, gardening and most of all sharing her time with her beloved family. She loved her children and grandchildren most of all. She was so proud of her family and shared that with everyone. She loved doing family trips with her kids and grandkids and spending time up north relaxing. She enjoyed nature and being outdoors. Pam would call her kids to warn them of bad weather approaching to make sure they were prepared, or to watch the sky for the northern lights or really anything that was going on outdoors. Pam would call each of her family members on their birthday and sing the Happy Birthday song to them every year.

Pam is survived by her husband Anthony Doan (Abrams), daughter Heidi (Dan) Huebner (Rothschild), daughter Jessi (James) Pestka (Athens) and son, Trevor (Brittney) Burger (Green Bay). stepchildren Carolyn Doan, Elizbeth Doan & Rebecca Doan. Father, Charles Loy (Marathon), brother Kirk (Vivica) Loy (New Mexico) & brother Barry Loy (Marathon). Grandchildren Joelle Huebner, Marah Huebner, Cameron Pestka, Riley Pestka, Holden Pestka and Everlee Burger. Niece, Amanda Loy (Paul) & Nephew, Ben Loy. Pam is also survived by her former husband, Joesph Burger (Adams) who is the father of Pam’s three children. And many, many close family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy (Graveen) Loy, brother, Michael Loy and many aunts and uncles. Pam had a very close bond with her brother; Michael and he always referred to her as his “Sister One.”

Pam’s children, Heidi, Jessi and Trevor would like their mom to be remembered for her huge heart and a big love for her family. The family has suffered a great loss, but they take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her mom and brother in Heaven.

A Celebration of Life for Pam will be held at Stettin Town Hall (141678 Stettin Dr, Wausau, WI 54401) on May 10th, 2025, from 1-4pm.
