Nancy Diane North, 88, of Green Bay, passed away on October 4, 2025. She was born on November 7, 1936 to Reinhart Kurth and Gladys (Hoeft) Ward.
Nancy started her career at St. Vincent Hospital and later worked at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown. Nancy cherished her time at Bethesda, finding a lifelong passion in caring for the mentally disabled. She made many friends at Bethesda that went beyond a typical workplace friendship; they enjoyed vacationing to Florida and especially to Branson, Missouri to visit country music festivals together.
Nancy was an animal lover, she especially loved dogs, but discovered a newfound love for cats through her granddaughter, Jamey's cats, Clover and Clancy. Music was a significant part in Nancy's life, she spent much of her time going to live music events, concerts, plays, and festivals. She was an artist herself, playing the accordion as a child. Nancy was known for her calm, peaceful, and loving nature. She loved her family passionately and was always willing to accept anyone that came into her home. Nancy had a deep Christian faith and was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Green Bay for many years.
Nancy is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and siblings.
Per family wishes, private services were held. Nancy was put to rest at Forest Home Cemetery in Townsend.
