Listen to Obituary

Nancy M. Hendzel, 83, of Seymour, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025 after a short courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 1, 1942 to Jerome and Gladys (Nockerts) Stuckart in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

She married Eugene Hendzel on March 31, 1959. Together they built their farm in Seymour. There they raised five children. She worked 28 years at the Seymour Canning Company, was a 4-H leader for many years, and a member of Seymour Auxillary Post 106.

Nancy enjoyed cooking for the family holidays and baking treats for friends and neighbors. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing with her loved ones. Nancy loved her garden, especially her gladiolas. She spent a lot of time watching birds, particularly cardinals. Nancy loved watching the Brewers and the Packers. The most important people in her life were her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She would do anything for them. They will all miss her so much along with her cats.

Nancy is survived by her loving children, Dan "Jake" (Jerry), Steve (Renee), Carl (Deb), Cinde (Matt) and Lisa; seven grandchildren: Craig (special friend Michelle), Abby (Ethem), Mandie, Codey, JD, Emily and Sarah; five great grandchildren: Hayden, Jack, Brooklyn, Gannon, and Remi. Nancy is further survived by her three sisters: Sue, Janice, and Mary Jane; one brother, Bobby (Peggy); and five sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Orville), Lois, Pat, Golda, and Marcia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, her parents, 10 siblings, grandparents and her grandson, Carl Jr.

Per Mom's wishes there will be no funeral service.

The family would like to thank our wonderful neighbor, Chrissy Bunnell for all the help with mom. We would also like to thank the amazing nurses that took care of mom at ThedaCare.
