Michael "Mike" James Kaye, age 75, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026.
He was born on September 13, 1950 to Robert and Teola (Cederstrom) Kaye in Green Bay, WI. Mike graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1968. He then joined Western Electric, before enlisting in the United States Army, where he served honorably for several years, later continuing his career at Western Electric. Mike then worked as a custodian in the Green Bay Area Public School District, for over 20 years. Prior to retiring in 2015, he worked in the facilities department at Walmart.
On September 14, 1974, Mike and Judy Wotruba were united in marriage, and the couple was blessed with two children, Sara and Adam, though the couple later separated.
Mike had a keen-eye for collecting unique items, while enjoying the thrill of a deal from the ReStore and local thrift stores. He loved to be able to share these treasures with his loved ones. Mike had a passion for all things with engines. He regularly tinkered with cars and motorcycles, and enjoyed racing. He was a thoughtful and kind individual, always trying to help out whenever needed.
Mike is survived by his loving children; Sara (Joey) Wager - Smith, Adam (Megan) Kaye, by his grandchildren; Rowan Clark, Keegan Clark, Fletcher Kaye, and Fianna Kaye. He is further survived by his siblings; Tim Kaye, Kathleen (Craig) Bessert, and Kristine Kaye-Tarantole, his brother-in-law; Virgil Lang, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Teola, by his siblings; Deborah Lang, John Kaye, and Lori Kaye, and by his granddaughter, Fiona Kaye.
Mike will have a Celebration of Life for all Friends and Family in late Spring. Please check back for further details.
