Listen to Obituary

Michelle M. Hebel-Bomske, age 70, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026 surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 22, 1955 to the late Jordan and Margaret (Stokes) Hebel in Green Bay, WI. Michelle was the youngest of four children. Growing up her and family loved their trips up to the cottage by Boundary Lake, where they spent time as a full family fishing, swimming, and four wheeling. She went on to graduate Preble High School with the class of 1974. Michelle loved cook, and got to bring her passion with her to work over her 25 year career as the head cook at Bornemann's Nursing Home. She was truly a special person, and made a lasting impact in the living of many youth over the 13 years she spent as a Foster Parent. Michelle welcomed 38 children into her home, she felt blessed to have made a positive impact in each of their lives, and looked at each and every one of them as her children.

She met the love of her life, Thomas Bomske, and on December 10, 1983 the couple was united in marriage. They were blessed with 42 wonderful years together. Together the couple spent their time traveling throughout the state and country, they enjoyed every chance they had to spend time with family, and continuing her tradition of visiting the family cottage up north. Michelle loved to host, she could always be found cooking excellent food for her friends and family, before she'd be lost in any number of card games with family and friends. She had a deep faith, and kept her connection to God through her entire life. She also loved to decorate, she loved to read, and to go shopping (especially with her daughter and granddaughter).

Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Tom, her daughter, Jordana, and her grandchildren; Isabella and Aidan. She is further survived by her sisters; Val and Holly (Ann), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and beloved foster children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jordan and Margaret, her sister, Tina Peterson, her brother-in-law, Rick, and her grandson, José Romo.

Michelle will have a visitation on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay). All friends and family are welcome to come, celebration and honor her wonderful life.
