Michael Dean Wilson

Michael Dean Wilson, a devoted father, proud veteran, and lifelong public servant, passed away peacefully at his home on May 26, 2025, surrounded by love. He was 77 years old.

Born on February 13, 1948, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Elwood and Girlie (Robbins) Wilson. Michael dedicated his life to service, both in uniform and in his community. He honorably served in the United States Navy, embodying the values of duty and integrity that would guide him throughout his life. After his military service, Michael continued to serve others through careers with the Dayton, Ohio School District, and the United States Postal Service, from which he later retired.

Michael was the proud father of Dawn Thomas (Dave) and Nicole Wilson Earle (Steve), and a beloved grandfather to seven grandchildren: Brandon, Stephanie, Garrett, Caroline, Savannah, Carson, and Hudson. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy and pride in his later years. Michael is also survived by his loving partner, Ginger Farvour, and seven brothers and sisters.

A man known for his selflessness, Michael spent his life taking care of those around him. He had a deep love of music and reading, and he took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge with others. Whether offering advice, telling a story, or simply lending a hand, he was a source of strength and wisdom to all who knew him. Direct and honest, he also carried a sharp sense of humor that brought light and laughter to even the most ordinary moments.

Michael’s life was a reflection of his generous heart and steadfast character. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service; a legacy that lives on in the many lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
