Listen to Obituary

Melvin E. Kluth, 83, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2026. Born July 17, 1942, in Green Bay, he was the son of the late Bernard and Gladys Kluth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha J. Kluth, to whom he was married for 58 years at the time of her passing in 2020.

Melvin was known for his mechanical skill, which defined his career. He worked for Northwest Engineering building cranes, maintained facilities at Employers Health Insurance (Humana), and managed repairs for several apartment complexes. He loved cars, bowling, watching NASCAR, and trips to Las Vegas. Throughout the years, he was also a dedicated member of the team at Crosby's Heavy Duty Wrecker Service. When he wasn't working on a project in his garage at home, he could almost always be found at Heavy Duty. A special thank you to Steve Crosby for all the years of friendship.

Melvin is survived by his daughters, Kim (Tom) Willis, Tammy (Mark) Selissen, and Penny (Kevin) Hujet; his son, Tim Kluth (Stacey); his brother, Fran (Christine) Kluth; and his sisters, Carol Villenauve, Patti (Mark) Piper, and Susie (Dave) Kozicki. He is further survived by 7 grandchildren; Austin, Alexia (Brandon), Kaitlyn (Josh), Andrew (Leah), Nick (Micayla), Megan (Mike), and Kortney (Mitch) and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his in-laws, Donald and Ruth Van De Leest; his brothers, Bernard Jr., Robert, William, Donald, Richard, and James; and his sister, Dottie (James) Friberg, Marie (Paul) Brosig, and Barbara (Paul) Fansler.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Moments Hospice (especially Danielle and Stephanie - we could not have done it without you) for the care and compassion shown to Melvin and his family.

All Melvin’s Friends and Family are welcome and encouraged to join for his celebration of life at Townline Pub & Grill, 2544 Lineville Road, on Thursday June 25, 2026, with times to follow.
