Maureen Ann Van Straten

Maureen Ann Van Straten, age 88, of Green Bay, WI, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 6, 2026, with her daughter, Paula, at her side. She was born April 30, 1938 in Neenah, WI, daughter of the late Andrew and Delphine (Soderquist) Heider.

Maureen married Glenn Buckoski, a marriage that was blessed with 4 children. Maureen had a green thumb and enjoyed tending her immaculate gardens. They were so beautiful and admired, she was even host to backyard weddings. She loved music, singing and dancing. Maureen was a member of the Green Bay Square Dancers Club and The Chantelles singing group. A talented artist, she enjoyed ceramics and crafts.

Maureen is survived by 3 children: Dena Goetsch, Brad Buckoski and Paula (Mike) Fabry; grandchildren: Travis, Jessica (Bryan), Kayla, Samantha, Sarah, Sammy and Lacey and great-grandchildren: Jace, Mikayla, Tyler, Hailey, Dax and Bryce.

She was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Buckoski; her sisters: Eleanor, Etola, Beverly, Darlene; her brother, Andrew "Lee" Heider and her beloved dog, Peanut.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 4 to 6 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM.
