Mary Lee Powell-Floyd, age 73, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. She was born on May 16, 1952, in Gould, Arkansas to Roy and Leatrice Powell. She graduated from Englewood High School. Mary was the beloved wife of Rockwell B. Floyd, with whom she shared a devoted marriage until his passing. Together, they built a life grounded in love and family.
She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: watching her favorite television programs, spending time surrounded by family, and enjoying the occasional reunion gathering with laughter and drinks. Mary had a special gift in the kitchen, where her cooking brought loved ones together and created lasting traditions.
Her greatest happiness came from her family. She treasured moments holding her great-grandchildren, while sharing stories and conversations with her grandchildren- moments that will forever remain in their hearts.
Mary will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of family, and the comfort she brought to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the lives she touched.
She is lovingly remembered by her three children: William Powell, Equanda Hughes and Darlene Powell; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends; and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Rothwell and her parents.
A time for friends and family to visit and share memories of Mary will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, Wisconsin 54301 from 3 - 6 PM.
