Mary Beth Renier

Mary Beth Renier, 75, of Green Bay, left us peacefully on January 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family and best friend. Born on December 10, 1950, to George and Eileen (Olson) Thompson in Green Bay, Mary Beth radiated love and kindness throughout her life.

On May 9, 1975, she joyfully married Gerald Renier, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond of friendship and love. The loss of Gerald in 2020 deeply affected her, yet her spirit and warmth continued to inspire those around her.

Mary Beth's professional journey began in various pet stores where she nurtured her passion for raising parrots. In March 2007, she joined the Oneida Casino as a slot attendant, a role she cherished, dedicating 18 years to her work until her recent diagnosis.

With a heart full of love, Mary Beth embraced her family, her pets, and the joy of gardening. She was known for her ability to bring everyone together, ensuring no one left her home hungry. Her delightful sense of humor combined with her gentle nature made her beloved by many, and she eagerly looked forward to summer gatherings in Northern Minnesota, a cherished tradition with her family.

Mary Beth is survived by her two children, Andrew Renier and Teri (Jason) Zinda; her four grandchildren, Eli Renier, Kassie (Joshua) Byrge, Dustin Zinda, and Hunter Zinda; her great-grandchildren, Ariya and Grayson; one sister, Cindy (Srba) Brasovan; two nephews, Jon Thien and Alex (Samantha) Thien; as well as numerous cousins and dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Gerald.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, as we honor the remarkable legacy of Mary Beth Renier.
