Mark W. McDowell

Green Bay, WI - Mark William McDowell, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at St. Vincent’s Hospital. 

Mark was born on June 30, 1962 in Gillett, WI, along with his twin brother Michael, to Robert and Dorothy McDowell. He graduated from Gillett High School where he holds many football records. He attended UW Oshkosh. He was currently employed at Recycle Plastics Inc, as a supervisor of third shift operations. Prior to this position, he was a route representative at G&K Service, earning many awards such as President’s Club Performance Champion, and Driver of the Year.

Mark and Lisa (Millar) married on November 25, 1988 at La’ Amour Chapel in Las Vegas, NV. They enjoyed spending time together during spontaneous excursions, attending stock car races, and while trying to teach Lisa how to golf. Mark was a man of great attributes. He had an exceptional work ethic, was kind, and a sense of humor, that nobody could duplicate.

He is survived by his wife Lisa of almost 36 years, mother Dorothy McDowell, twin brother Michael McDowell (Vickie McDowell), sisters Brenda Kadlec (Jeff Kadlec) and Rhonda Ropella, his daughter Taylor Vande Hei (Anthony Vande Hei), granddaughters Ava and Olivia Vande Hei, and daughter Emily Konitzer. He is further survived by his brother-in-law Scott Millar (Dawn Wilhelm), numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert McDowell, grandparents, father and mother-in-law, and an infant brother James McDowell.

Friends and family may visit Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave.), Friday, August 2, 2024 from 4 to 6 PM with a memorial service to follow at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in Mark’s honor.
