Mark Edward Boguski

Mark Edward Boguski, 70, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 1, 2026 after lengthy health battles in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He fought bravely until the very end.

Mark was born in Green Bay on August 3, 1956 and enlisted in the United States Air Force right after graduating Green Bay East High School in 1975. According to stories, he didn’t even attend his own high school graduation since he went to basic training right away. He served our country proudly for 22 years as a Security Police Officer and retired as a Master Sergeant. While enlisted, Mark received many awards to include: Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal (awarded three times), the Air Force Outstanding Unit award (awarded five times), and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal (awarded seven times). He was also recognized for his extensive service with the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, the Air Force Longevity Service Award honoring 20 years of service, the NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and the Air Force Training Ribbon. He even made Top Gun in his training class on a .50 caliber rifle. Mark had a deep respect for firearms and continued to do so after his time in the Air Force.

During his enlistment, Mark was known for being an excellent cook. He once stated that if he didn’t learn how to cook, he would likely starve due to the food being so bland! He learned quickly how to cook once he joined the Air Force and would go on to create masterpieces in the kitchen and on the grill. Many of his culinary inspirations came from the countries he visited, including South Korea.

After his retirement in central Missouri, he worked as a security guard and aided in natural disasters with FEMA. When he had free time, Mark liked to watch movies, cheer on the Green Bay Packers and spend time raising his children. His daughter, Jessica and Mark have always been really close. Mark loved cars: “Bella Linda”, “Spirit of AMERICA” and “Orion” just to name a few. He also enjoyed art, collectibles and listening to his favorite music in his garage. Mark especially looked forward to spending time in the wooded forests of Wisconsin during hunting season with his brothers and showing “Orion”” in the Wisconsin Dells Fiero Run each summer.

Mark was predeceased by his father Edward A. Boguski, mother Judith J. Boguski (Christophersen), brothers Steve Boguski and Chris Boguski, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles. He is survived by daughter Jessica J. Boguski and his son Brian Y. Boguski, sisters Diane (Larry) DeMoulin, Lisa (James) Tuttle, Roberta (Paul) DeBaker and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mark will be missed by many including his longtime military buddies, his hometown friends, his wonderful neighbors and all those who had the opportunity to meet him and get to know him in this lifetime.
