Marion Dorothy Collins

Marion Dorothy Collins, 88, of Montgomery, Texas passed away after a brief illness on September 11, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 13, 1937 to Tony and Theresa (Goerke) Alef in Green Bay, WI.

Marion faithfully attended the Conroe Seventh Day Adventist Church, and enjoyed listening to the Gaither Vocal Group every Sabbath afternoon. Marion loved all animals, especially the dogs she pet sat for, and their owners too! She adored her cat, DC, that adopted Marion when he was a feral kitten, and could often be seen following her all around the condominium community in Montgomery, Texas where she lived for the past 15 years. She was an avid Packer fan and attended many games at Lambeau Field. In more recent years she enjoyed watching football with her dear friends and neighbors at The Cove. She was active in many social groups and especially loved her water aerobics class and her instructor, Debbie. Marion never missed an opportunity to help a neighbor or friend. Each summer, Marion spent a few weeks in Wisconsin to visit her children and sister, Dorothy. She enjoyed Concerts In the Park, a good fish fry and spending precious time with family and friends.

Marion is survived by her loving children, Timothy (Carrie) Collins, William (Vicki) Collins, and Kim Collins-Haas; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and 3 siblings, Helen, Tony, and Dorothy. Marion is also remembered as a very special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mitchell Lawrence Collins; grandson, Ryan Timothy Collins; brother Wilhelm Alef .

The family would like to acknowledge the special friendships Marion shared with Tracey and John. There were also other cherished friendships. Her love, support and laughter will be greatly missed by many.

A Memorial Service for Marion will be held at the Green Bay Seventh-Day Adventist Church on September 28, 2025. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm the service at 1:00 pm.
