Maria "Toni" Antonia Fairchild, age 83, of Algoma, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. She was born September 16, 1941 in San Antonio, TX, daughter of the late Anastacio and Julia (Morales) Cordova and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School.
Toni married Dan Fairchild, April 8, 1961 in Green Bay, WI and recently celebrated their 64th anniversary.
Toni dedicated herself to her God on July 5, 1963. Toni's vocation was her ministry work. She took great pleasure in helping others know her God, Jehovah. Toni and Dan raised their family to support that work, as well as the construction of Kingdom Halls in the region, continuing into their retirement years.
She enjoyed working in her garden, grooming her beautiful flowers. Toni had a reputation as a warm, welcoming hostess and excellent cook. Time spent with family and friends camping in Crivitz is where she made some of her favorite memories and found the most peace and refreshment.
Toni is survived by her husband, Daniel "Dan" Fairchild; 3 children: Kelly (Mike) Bohenski, Kim (Sam) Cuicio and Eric (Kathy) Fairchild; 8 grandchildren: Adam and Michael Bohenski, Shad (Rebecca) Fairchild, Peggy (Andy "Skip") Kendzora, Victoria "Tori" (Nick) Beemer, Daniel Fairchild III and Jacob (Kassidy) Fairchild and Christian John "CJ" Fairchild; 5 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter and 3 siblings: Ann DeKeyser, Lorraine Shemoncofsky and Dominga Rein. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Marilyn Cordova, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel Fairchild Jr.; a brother, Ramon Cordova and 3 brothers-in-law: Gerald "Jerry" DeKeyser, Donald Shemoncofsky and Roger "Sonny" Rein.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 1 to 3 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3 PM.
