Margaret J. (Peg) Anthes, age 100
Peg was born August 9, 1925 in Clintonville, Wisconsin. She was the daughter to the late Placidia Goerlinger and the late Howard Anthes. She was also the stepdaughter to the late Coy Deming. Margaret graduated from Clintonville High School in the class of 1943 and lived for many years in the Chicago area.
Peg worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over 36 years while living in Chicago. She and her sister, Marion Miller, moved to Denver where they lived for twenty years. She then worked for the law firm of Long and Jardain for 10 years while in Denver and retired back in Green Bay in 2000.
Peg was a member of Resurrection Church in Allouez and was known by many of the parishioners and neighbors. She volunteered at church activities and was an avid Packers and Brewers fan.
Peg is survived by her brother Patrick (Merry) Deming. She is further survived by her nephew David (Denise) Miller, Matthew (Teri) Deming, and nieces Cathy Stache (Mark), Anne (Greg) Deming, along with several great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marion R. Miller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Resurrection Church in Allouez, 333 Hilltop Dr, Green Bay, WI 54301 at 11 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026. A time for friends and family to pay respects and visit will begin at 9 AM until the time of the service at church. Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 11 AM at St. Rose Cemetery in Clintonville, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations to the Miller/Anthes Family Fund or the Sister Davidica Beschta Fund in care of Community Foundation for the Fox Cities.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oak Park Place and Unity Hospice for the care and compassion provided to Peg.
