Lowell J. Heise Jr., age 66, of Howard, WI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 24, 2026. He was born April 13, 1960, son of the late Ruth (McDaniel, Heise) Splitgerber and Lowell C Heise Sr. Lowell attended Bay Port High School class of 1978. He married Kathleen Calawerts on June 1, 1996. Lowell and Kathy shared 30 years of marriage and raised 3 sons together.
He worked for his father as a mason before working for N.E.W Vans and Custom. He went on to own his own business, Distinctive Paint, etc. Lowell was completely self-taught and for 40 years, he was well known for his custom paint, restoration of classic cars, and motorcycles. If you stopped by the house, you would most likely find him in his garage working or helping his sons with their projects. He was a jack of all trades, from building a chicken coop to painting flames on a mini van.
His family was his pride and joy. He would call his boys daily, checking to see what they were working on. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, sharing cuddles with his dogs and grand dog and drinking coffee all day long.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, his children: Brett (Tory), Cameron (Amber), and Wyatt (Lydia), and 3 grandchildren: Kinsley, Waylon, and Lilah. He is also survived by his nephew, Jeffe Heise, mother-in-law, Rosalie Calawerts, and in-laws: Larry (Sheri) Calawerts, Toni (Denis) Toonen, Bob Calawerts, Jeff (Vicky) Calawerts, other relatives and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel, his brother Kevin, his parents, his step-father, Bud, his grandparents, and father-in-law, Daniel Calawerts, many aunts and uncles and other family and friends.
