Louise E. DeGroot

Louise Ellen DeGroot, 85, of Green Bay, passed away on December 10, 2025.

She was born on January 21, 1940, to Maynard and Gladys (Hansen) Larsen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Suring High School in 1958, afterwards she went to the Marinette County Teacher's College and graduated in 1960. Then she went on and received her Bachelor's from UW- Oshkosh in 1964. She was a teacher with the Ashwaubenon School District for thirty years before moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas with George, where she spent 13 years teaching for the Bentonville School District.

In 1960, she married Dr. Donald Doyle and shared two children together. On February 14, 1982, she married George P. DeGroot before his passing in 2012.

Louise was a member of United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas, where a donation was made in her name. She really enjoyed her time traveling and square dancing with George. She also loved golfing, playing cards with her grandkids and trips to the casino with family and friends. She had a caring heart and soft spot for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and to all the children she taught in her lifetime.

Louise is survived by her son, Jack (Julie) Doyle; daughter, Jodi (Les Pesola) Doyle; four grandchildren: Traci (Daniel)Duncan, Joshua (Elaena) Noffsinger, Krista (Cory) Mcabee and J. Doyle; four great-grandchildren: Eloisa and Benjamin Noffsinger, and Slade and Skyler Mcabee; two grand-puppies, Leo and Tines Duncan; four siblings: William (Dorrie) Larsen, Peter (Beverly, also Louise's best friend) Larsen; Linda (Dennis) Finnigan and Sandra Larsen; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; her sister, Marilyn; and three nephews, Daniel, Richard and Mark.

Per Louise's wishes, no services are scheduled at this time.

Her children want to extend a special thank you to Louise's sister, Sandy, for all the time Sandy spent with Louise these recent months.
