Lori "Luvvy" Baker, 63, of De Pere, passed away on July 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 23, 1962 to Joseph and Mary (Vandenack) Herman in Green Bay. On September 13, 1980, she married Andy Baker at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Their marriage was blessed with two children.
Luvvy worked as a medical transporter at St. Vincent Hospital for 44 years. Some would say she was the eyes and ears of the hospital and most could hear her laughter down the halls. Many stopped in to visit her office for an entertaining conversation. She touched so many peoples lives and offered a helping hand to any passerby.
Luvvy and Andy traveled up north for many years to Kelly Lake. They loved going to sporting events: whether Packers, Brewers, Bucks or the grandchildren's events, she was there! Luvvy and Andy would race to get outside for yard work on the weekends, as the first one out avoided the house work. She had many dinner dates that she cherished with her friends and family, two of her favorites were Los Banditos and Jake's Pizza.
Lori is survived by her loving husband, Andy of 45 years; two children: Ryan (Dani) Baker and Brittany (Grant) Larscheid; three grandchildren: Ava, Beckett, and Brooks; her mother, Mary Herman, her siblings: Dave (Terry Deprey) Herman, Tom Herman, Kenny (Linda) Herman, and William Herman; three sisters-in-law: Caren (Dale) Fabry, Amy Baker, and Gail Johnson and one brother-in-law, Robert Joepeck; she is further survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father, one brother, Jerry Herman, one sister, Nancy Joepeck, one grandson, Gordon, and her in-laws, Tim and Carol Baker.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Green Bay with a Sharing of Memories at 6:30 pm. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at a later date at the Automobile Gallery.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Stevens and Unity Hospice, especially Alesha, for all the care and comfort that was given to Luvvy. Andy would like to thank Dani and Brittany for all their time, support, and attention that was given to Lori and Andy in her final days.
