Listen to Obituary

Lee Arthur Neuville, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at Kathy’s Hospice in West Bend, WI, surrounded by the love, prayers, and presence of his family. Born on May 30, 1939, in Brussels, WI to Arthur and Lena Neuville, he was one of nine children that grew up on the family farm where they learned the value of hard work and devotion to family. Lee was proud of his Belgian heritage and delighted in sharing traditional Belgian pies with family and friends.

Lee’s greatest blessing was his beloved wife, Barbara, with whom he shared 65 beautiful years of marriage. Their relationship was a testament to enduring love and commitment, serving as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they raised a family of four children and were also blessed with nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

After marrying Barbara in November 1959, Lee earned a master’s degree in education and served in the Wisconsin National Guard. He began his teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse in Carlsville, WI. After moving to West Bend, Lee spent more than 30 years teaching at Fair Park and Silverbrook Middle School, where he later retired. With his intelligence, patience, humor, and genuine care for others, he positively influenced generations of students. Lee believed teaching was more than a profession-it was a calling. He took great pride in helping young people grow not only academically, but also as individuals of character and integrity.

Lee and Barbara enjoyed their retirement years traveling extensively and spending winters in Myrtle Beach, S.C. They were inseparable and loved by friends, old and new. After Barbara was called to heaven in October 2024, Lee then spent his time with family and friends, playing in cribbage tournaments, and joining a new church, Our Saviors Lutheran. Lee was a devoted Christian and continued to enrich and strengthen his faith daily.

Lee will be remembered for his sharp wit, warm smile, steady presence, and remarkable ability to make others feel valued and loved. His family finds comfort in knowing that Lee’s strong faith has now led him home to eternal peace, reunited once again with Barbara and those who went before him. Lee’s memory will live on through the many lives he touched as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, educator, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Barbara Neuville; his parents, Arthur and Lena Neuville; and his siblings, Joyce (Calvin) Eichinger, Morris (Dallas) Neuville, Curtis (Sidella) Neuville, Carol (Ken) Skarvan, Louis (Theresa) Neuville, Judy Olson and great granddaughter Lena Bruckert.

Lee is lovingly survived by his children, Scott (Celeste) Neuville, Melissa (Norman) Gloff, Todd (Lisa) Neuville, and Mark (Liz) Neuville; his treasured grandchildren, Mitch (Jill) Bruckert, Emily (Brandon) Klos, Rachel (Tori) Neuville, Jake (Carly) Neuville, Brett Neuville, Carly Gloff, Ashton Neuville, Winston Neuville, and Ava Neuville; and his two precious great-grandchildren, Miles Bruckert and Everett Klos. He is further survived by his siblings, Lon (Vicki) Neuville and Irene (Joe) Hucek; his brother-in-law, Donny Olson; and sisters-in-law, Susan Peterson and Judy Siren, along with many nieces, nephews, dear friends, former students, and members of the community whose lives he touched deeply.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Friday, June 5, 2026 from 11 AM to 1 PM. A memorial service will follow at 1 PM. Lee will be laid to rest by his wife, Barbara, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Sturgeon Bay ,WI.
