Laurine B. Lancelle

Laurine B. Lancelle, age 97, of Denmark, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2022. She was born on February 5, 1925 in the Town of Glenmore to Alfred and Katie (Ronk) Rasmussen. Laurine and Omar "OJ" Lancelle were married February 18, 1950 in Denmark. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1996.

Survivors include two sons: Mark and Paul (Nancy) Lancelle both of Denmark; daughter, Susan (Dale Callaham) Lancelle of Belchertown, MA; grandchildren: Katie, Garrett (Tara), Joe (Brenna), and Max Lancelle, Jared (Shannon), Alan Callaham, she is further survived by great-grandchildren: Olivia, Gavin, Isabelle, Jasper, and Raena Lancelle, and Fiadh Callaham; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Laurine was preceded in death by an infant son, one sister, Mildred (Harvey) Christensen, five brothers: Andrew (Rose), Nelton (Susie), Kenneth, Lloyd (Sara), and Lawrence "Fritz" Rasmussen, and two sisters-in-law: Mary Ann (John) Webb and Regina (James) Renier. In her own quiet, unassuming and caring way, Laurine touched many lives in the Denmark community and beyond during her long and productive life.

Visitation will take place Friday, December 30, 2022 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Ave, Denmark, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am, Pastor Andrew Zoerb will be officiating. Private inurnment will take place at West Danish Cemetery, Denmark.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staffs at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living and Unity Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Mom over the past several months.
