Larry Joseph Jaeger, age 83, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. He was born January 27, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late Albert J. and Clara M. (LaRose) Jaeger and was a graduate of West DePere High School.
Larry was drafted by the US Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. He was united in marriage with Patricia Shea, March 5, 1968 at St. Matthew Catholic Church. They recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Larry spent the majority of his career working for Carboline, where he was the superintendent.
Larry was fondly remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit. He had a very kind heart and generous nature. Anyone in need of a helping hand could depend on Larry. Larry had a soft spot in his heart for animals and cared for many family pets throughout the years. He was a dedicated family man and his greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children: David (Jennifer) Jaeger, Peter (Mindy) Jaeger and Jennifer (Matt) Harris; 7 grandchildren: Edward, Samuel, Holly Rhea, John Jr., Jaronn, Isaac and Alivia; 4 great-grandchildren: Hunter, Hayden, Huxton and Holtin and a siblings: Helen (Raymond) Kocha and Gail Jaeger and William "Bill" Jaeger. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and Cocker Spaniels, George and Charlie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tami and siblings: Shirley (John) Manning, Raymond (Virginia) Jaeger, Albert "Flyer" (Beverly) Jaeger Jr.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 4 to 5 PM. A memorial service will follow at 5 PM with full military honors.
Larry's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Aurora BayCare Hospital for their care and compassion.
