Larry L. Erickson, age 89, passed away at home in Green Bay on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Barbara (Griffiths) Erickson; his son, Matt Erickson (Melanie) of Green Bay, WI; his daughter, Jill Beachy (Rick) of Orlando, FL; and his sister, Merrie (Arnie) Hammel of Shepherd, MI. He was the proud grandfather of Chandler Jax (Parker), Jesse Erickson (Allison), Tanner Beachy (Rebecca), and Cole Erickson (Kayla); and the great-grandfather of Wesley Erickson. Larry is also survived by many admiring nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kim (Emma).
Born in 1936 in Tustin, MI, Larry graduated from Tustin High School before earning degrees from Tri-State College (Trine University) and Montana State University. He went on to dedicate many years to a successful career in the chemical and mining industries.
Larry was a hardworking chemical engineer, an avid golfer, and above all, a loving husband and father. His professional life led Larry and Barb to live in several places: Angola, IN; Montgomery, AL; St. Louis, MO; Muskegon, MI; Ann Arbor, MI; Nederland, TX; Cary, IL; Houston, TX. His life's path later included many years in San Miguel, Mexico, and Lake Conroe, TX, before settling in Green Bay, WI, near family. In each of these places, he formed cherished memories and lifelong connections.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Caretta Senior Living, Bellin Hospital, and Unity Hospice for their exceptional care.
A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 4, at Faith Lutheran Church in Green Bay. A time for visiting will begin at 10am until the time of the service. Family and friends can choose to watch online at the following link https://flcgb.com/
