With cherished memories and loving remembrance, we celebrate the life and legacy of Kimberly Michele Putnam (Peterson). A beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend, who left an indelible mark on all she knew. She slipped peacefully into her eternal party on September 9, 2024, marking her 15th year wedding anniversary with her soulmate John. (9/9/09)
Born on April 9th, 1970, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Kimberly lived a life filled with love and laughter. She was always up for an adventure. Her passion for being in nature, owl watching, and music inspired countless memories with family and friends. She was a true ‘rock' enthusiast, always ready to rock on and enjoy live concerts. Her love for music brought joy and excitement to all who shared in her hobbies.
Kimberly was also known for her exceptional cooking/baking skills. Which brought joy and warmth to all who had the pleasure of tasting her creations. Everything was always made with love.
In addition to her human loved ones, Kimberly adored her furry family members, particularly her beloved kitty cats, Gigdidy and Pinners, who brought immense joy and comfort to her life unconditionally.
Kimberly is survived by her loving husband, John Richard Peterson, whom she married on September 9, 2009; her three treasured children, Cierra Rose Putnam (30), and twin boys, Thomas Earl Peterson and Timothy John Peterson (18); her mother, Sharon (Faucett) Putnam; her brother, Timothy Putnam; her two adored grandchildren, Harland and Henry Vogels; special nephews and nieces; loving cousins; dear aunts and uncles; and lifelong childhood friends.
Welcoming Kimberly home are her loving father, Earl "Porky" Putnam; her mother-in-law, Diane Preston; her special aunt and uncle, Toddy and Otto; her cousin, Thomas Kohls; and her best friend, Julie Crevier.
Throughout her life but especially during her cancer diagnosis , Kimberly demonstrated remarkable strength, resilience, and grace. Her spirit, though fragile, remained unbroken. Her love for life never wavered. Over the past 5 years Kim received 65+ separate treatments of immunotherapy (Keytruda) as well as many other infusions and medications to help give her the longest and best quality of life.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nirav Patel, Ashley Wolfgram, the team at Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, and Unity Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. Your kindness, expertise, and dedication made a significant difference in Kimberly's journey, and we are forever grateful.
We take comfort in the memories we shared with Kimberly and find solace in the knowledge that her legacy will live on through us.
We will deeply miss her bright smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering support.
Rest in peace, dear Kimberly. Your love, light, and spirit will forever be in our hearts, and your memory will continue to rock on in our lives... Forever and ever.
The family plans to have a celebration of life at a later date to be announced.
