Kathryne "Kate" Helen Haggerty, age 87, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the familiar sounds of Neil Diamond's "Holly Holy”. Her final moments reflected the joy, faith, and love that defined her remarkable life.
Kate was born in 1939 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, to Charles Mason Price II and Muriel Clark Price. She grew up in White Bear Lake, where she was actively involved in her community, graduated from White Bear Lake High School, and proudly served as a Winter Carnival Princess. She continued her education at Forest Lake College and St. Cloud State University and remained a lifelong learner throughout her life.
Above all, Kate was devoted to her family. After dedicating many years to raising her four children, she began a successful career in insurance, serving families in the Buffalo and Prior Lake, Minnesota communities. Following her retirement from insurance, she continued her passion for helping others as a paraprofessional supporting children with special needs in the Buffalo School District.
Throughout her life, Kate followed her children wherever they needed her, making homes and building friendships in communities across the country, including Kewaunee, Wisconsin; River Falls, Wisconsin; Middletown, Pennsylvania; and Green Bay, Wisconsin. No matter where she lived, she created lasting connections and became part of a cherished "faith family."
Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life. At St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Middletown, Pennsylvania, she was actively involved in Bible studies, community dinners, and Hope Academy. Her faith inspired her to welcome others with kindness, compassion, and acceptance. She believed deeply in loving all people and finding joy in every day.
Kate was preceded in death by her father, Charles Mason Price II; her mother, Muriel Clark Price; her brother, Charles Mason Price III; and her former husband and lifelong friend, Robert James Haggerty.
She is survived by her siblings, David (Nancy) Price, Nancy Jo (Bill) Rhodes, and Kim (Cheri) Price; her children, Shannon Haggerty, Daniel Haggerty, David (Melissa) Haggerty, and Molly Haggerty; and her beloved grandchildren, Lucas Haggerty, Hannah (Alex) Haggerty-Schommer, Bob Haggerty, Jessy (Nic) Maronne, Muriel (Chris) Erickson, Sophia Haggerty, Olivia Haggerty, Becca Haggerty, Alexia (Jacob) Brewster-Santos, Josie Brewster, Henry Brewster, and El Vaughn Riley. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Kate will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous spirit, her colorful personality, and, of course, her pink hair and unmistakable flair. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, loved, and seen. The stories being shared by family and friends are a testament to the countless lives she touched.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now home with Jesus. She leaves behind a simple but powerful legacy: to live each day with joy and to love all people.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on August 2, 2026, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 121 N. Spring Street, Middletown, Pennsylvania 17057.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on August 21, 2026, in River Falls, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials in her honor to https://www.t4hope.org which leads the school for children at Hope Academy in Guatemala and Pennsylvania. Kate hosted many of the teachers from Guatemala in her home and supported the preschool in PA in so many ways. Your gift will keep her memory of love for those children continuing on.
