Listen to Obituary

Kathleen Ann Pataska, age 80, entered the presence of the Lord as a devoted follower and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Kathleen lived a life that brought honor and glory to God.

To know Kathleen was such a blessing. Kathleen was playful, spunky and full of life, even in her old age. She always brought laughter to those around her. Kathleen brought wisdom and encouragement as she guided her family and other to the Lord. Kathleen was very strong and stubborn. She always stood up for what's right regardless of the cost. It was a testament to who Jesus was in her life. It was also encouragement for everyone else to stand up and be strong. To witness the life of Kathleen and to really know who she was, was a gift and a blessing.

While living for Christ, God gifted Kathleen with a legacy. A legacy that brought love, grace and mercy of Jesus to many generations in the family. So, for 5 generations to be exact, and still counting. As we are gifted more time on earth, that number will continue to grow of how deeply rooted Kathleen's life was in Jesus Christ.

Kathleen's favorite verse was Numbers 6: 24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace.

Kathleen was a testament of God's grace, love and compassion.

Survived by Dennis L. Pataska, Daniel J. (Tammy) Pataska, Patricia A. (Russell) Strebel, Ricky J. Pataska, AnnTherese (Jeff) Hallgren and Jody L. Maglio. Further survived by her brothers and sisters: Maureen Voss, Thomas (Theresa) Maglio, Gina Marie (Mark) Maglio-Seibel, Theresa Thacker and Robert Maglio.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Salvador Maglio and grandson, Steven Strebel.

Kathleen's salvation in Jesus Christ is her first and foremost pride and joy. A close second was the gift of her large family. Kathleen has 6 children, 34 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Kathleen felt so blessed to have a family that surrounded her with love and happiness.

A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held on Mother's Day this year. Please check back for updated service information.

Kathleen's family would like to thank Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.
