Karl Arthur Kilian

Karl Arthur Kilian, 59, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026. He was born on August 13, 1967, to the late Arthur A. Kilian and Sylvia D. Kilian.

Karl grew up in Eagle River, Wisconsin, a place that remained close to his heart and still spent many summer days at the family cabin.

For more than 30 years, Karl was employed by Channel 5 TV Station, where he dedicated much of his working life. Outside of work, Karl had many interests and passions. He was a devoted Star Trek fan and had an extensive collection of books, movies, CDs, and memorabilia. He also had a love for photography, especially when traveling “up north.” He enjoyed capturing photographs of loons, eagles, lakes, and waterfalls, preserving the beauty of the places that meant so much to him. He spent much of his time at the cabin feeding chipmunks. Every year Karl would attend June Dairy Breakfasts throughout the area and the annual air shows at E.A.A. in Oshkosh. Karl also cherished the fall road trips he took with his sister, Cindy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his domestic partner, Amanda Porter.

He is survived by his sisters, Kathleen M. Kilian and Cynthia A. Baker; niece, Brittany Gillard (Baker) and her husband, Daniel Gillard; great-nephews, Orion Gillard and Leo Gillard; and his beloved cat, Dakota.
