Jon E. Cropsey, age 81, of De Pere, passed away suddenly, Thursday, August 24, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital, with family at his side. He was born August 9, 1942 in Green Bay, son of the late Raymond and Kathryn (Herman) Cropsey and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, Class of 1961.
Jon worked along side his father at Cropsey Lumber Company.
Jon had an amazing sense of humor and contagious laugh. He was very proud when he was referred to by one of his doctors as being "delightful." He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, especially with friends. Jon also liked to cheer on his Packers and play cards at "Jon's Casino."
Jon is survived by his siblings: Karen Barnack, Connie (Gary) Corsten, Bob (Sue) Cropsey, Richard (Jackie) Cropsey and Colleen (Tom) Deffke and a sister-in-law, Julieann Cropsey. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donnie Cropsey, brother-in-law, Jerry Barnack, former wife, Kathy, special friend, Lynn and his faithful canine companion, Buffy.
Per Jon's wishes, no services will be held.
Jon's family would like to extend their gratitude to the residents at Nicolet Apartments and Rennes for their friendship and care.
