Joanne Marie Galske, born on March 7, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan to Martin and Anna (Zwiers) Vander Zanden, passed away on May 5, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Joanne married Harold Galske during his time in the United States Navy. Together, they raised a large family. She and Harold shared many passions, including supporting the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, as well as enjoying fishing excursions. Some of their most treasured experiences was taking frequent trips to Canada with her brother, Ed, and sister-in-law, Judy. Joanne also enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. In recent years, Joanne had the opportunity to go to her family homeland, Holland, with her 2 daughters Renee and Tammy. There they saw many sites and visited several relatives. Joanne spent most of her life working as Certified Nursing Assistant at Brown County and managed several group homes. She was known for taking care of others.

Joanne is survived by her children: Renee Beyers, Steve (Karen) Galske, James (Pamela) Galske, Kevin (Kim) Galske, Tammy Watters, and Mark (Jennifer) Seering; step-son, Dana Galske. Her legacy is further enriched by the numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold; her parents; daughter, Sandy Seppel; grandchildren, David Dolgner and Jamie Foy; her siblings: Mary Jane Tindle, Ed Vanderzanden, James Vanderzanden, Andrew Anderson, and Gloria Nault.

A visitation will be held on June 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 340 S Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301. This will be followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
