Jeffrey S. Webster, age 56, of Oneida, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. In a way that seemed written just for him, while lilacs were blooming and the fish were biting, he passed at the campground in Lac du Flambeau. He was granted his final wish — to pass peacefully in his camper at the campground, surrounded by family, exactly the way he envisioned. Born June 19, 1969 in Green Bay to the late Arthur Webster and Rita R. (Schuyler) Webster, Jeff lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, humor, and deep love for family and the outdoors.
Jeff married the love of his life, Carol Roffers, in May of 1995, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, loyalty, and countless memories.
He was recently honored for 30 years of dedicated service with the Oneida Nation Department of Public Works, a milestone he took great pride in achieving through years of commitment and dependability.
One of Jeff’s proudest accomplishments was his 24 years of sobriety, a journey he embraced with strength, determination, and gratitude.
Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time in Lac du Flambeau at the campground. After surviving a widow-maker heart attack in 2023, Jeff knew he had been given more time for a reason. That same fall, he harvested the biggest buck of his life while bow hunting— a moment he treasured deeply.
For the past 14 years, Jeff proudly put on an unforgettable fireworks show each summer. What started at his home eventually grew so large it had to be moved to his nephew’s property. It became a tradition many looked forward to and a reflection of Jeff himself — larger than life, generous, and meant to be shared with others.
Jeff also enjoyed playing darts in the church league and recently discovered a passion for making maple syrup. True to form, he made sure “he never burned a pan on his watch.” He had a unique sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was a man who consistently placed the needs of others before his own. Jeff greatly enjoyed his many awesome trucks over the years and often joked with his wife Carol, “It’s a guy thing — you wouldn’t understand.”
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; 5 sisters and 3 brothers: Julie Denny, Mel (Lori) Webster, Jean Webster, Janet (Dave) Danforth, Joan Webster, Jackie (Joe King) Webster, Karl (Kathy Lahay) Webster, and Bill (Shelly Stevens) Webster; as well as many, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is further survived by Carol’s siblings: Sharon (Mike) Secora, Betsy (Steve) Braun, Allan (Mitzie) Roffers, Denise (Lorn) Van Den Elzen, Bonnie (Craig) Rickaway, Leann (Carlos Rodriguez) Roffers, Curtis (Andrea) Roffers, and their families.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, John (Rosalind) Webster and Judy Webster; nephew, Josh Webster; nieces, Yetsi Danforth and Margaret Danforth; his mother- and father-in-law; and brother-in-law, Brian Denny.
Visitation will be held at Oneida United Methodist Church (N6037 Cty Rd. E, De Pere, WI), Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 11 AM to 1 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM. Burial will be in Oneida United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Jeff’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff of Unity Hospice, especially Tara and Lori, for their care and compassion.
Jeff’s legacy lives on in the stories shared around campfires, the fireworks lighting up summer skies, the laughter at family gatherings, and the quiet mornings outdoors he loved so much. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
