James H. "Jim" Strohschein

Jim left his earthly home on August 3, 2026 at the age of 84. His wife, Betty, the love of his life of 62 years; his children, Michael (Jamie) and Dawn (Gary) Piontek; three grandchildren: Logan (Shannon), Mason and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Lavinia and Cecilia; sisters, Wanda and Ruthann, are heart broken by his loss.

He was born January 31, 1942 in Oshkosh, WI, son of the late Maynard and Leona (Arndt) Strohschein and was a proud graduate of Oshkosh High School, Class of 1960. Jim was united in marriage with Betty Lou Woodworth, May 16, 1964.

Jim was very successful in his career and retired at 44. He was a self taught man. Went into the Air Force right after high school and started his career in Accounting and Finance, working for several computer companies. Selling and putting deals together was his passion. A tribute belongs to Norman Miller for getting Jim involved with commercial real estate after retiring. That introduction got Jim involved with the Packers and Bellin Hospital and their many clinic locations and the College of Nursing. Mark Murphy, CEO of the Packers, always said Titletown wouldn't be if it wasn't for Jim. He was responsible for buying all the property that is now the Titletown District.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and business partner with his son Michael. He had special "Dawn Days" with his daughter which created a strong bond between both children his whole life.

To his grandchildren he was "PaPa". A love and closeness with each of them with memories never ending! Hunting and fishing with the grandboys and "MP" Days with his one and only favorite granddaughter.

He will be dearly remembered and sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A good man chooses to do what's right. He places importance on family. A good man changes the world by his own example. He shapes the lives of his children and grandchildren with the strength of his love.

Jim was a good man. A legend among his own.

At his request a private service was held for the family. All who knew Jim know how much he valued your friendship. He was true to his word. Fair and honest. His wisdom will be with us forever.

Thank you everyone for your respect and understanding at this very difficult time in our lives.

Please honor Jim by doing something loving, kind and nice towards someone. Be humble and appreciative of what you have. Never take anything for granted.
