He was born on April 29, 1939 to Francis and Norma (Kaufman) Plog in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
James is survived by his loving wife, Tess; children: Jim Plog and Todd (Teri) Plog; sister-in-law, Faith Ann VandeSande; grandchildren: Ryan Plog, Marissa (Fiance, Semaj Lewis) Plog, Ethan Plog and Miranda (Santi Flores) Plog; special friend, Roger Dodger; brother, John (Jean) Plog; niece, Diane (Darold) Herlache; friend, Jan (Jim) Stangel; and special dogs, Myla and Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Donna; and his brothers, Dick and Bob.
