James “Jim” Diermeier, 81, of Ashwaubenon, passed peacefully while resting at home on June 21st. Jim was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Jackie, his son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Angela Diermeier, his son-in-law Mordie Peshkess, and grandchildren Ty Dobbs (Marley), Zach Dobbs (Lela), and Abby Peshkess, and two great-grandsons. He is also survived by sisters Alice VanDyke and Dorothy Kramer. The family will be holding a private Memorial Service at Newcomer Funeral home in Green Bay.

Jim, along with his twin brother Jerry, was born December 24, 1944 to Tony and Mary Diermeier. They and their five older siblings grew up in Center Valley, WI.

He met the love of his life in 1965 and married her in 1966. Together they enjoyed traveling, bike riding, and polka dancing. A long-time resident of Ashwaubenon, Jim enjoyed tending his garden and yard. He was veteran of the Wisconsin National Guard, and drove semi-tractor trailers for UPS for 30 years. UPS inducted him into their Safety Circle of Honor for his professionalism and safety prior to his retirement. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kindness to others, and his love for a quiet afternoon reading on his backyard glider or watching the birds.
